PORTFOLIO UPDATE: RowElectric Product Development

When projects enter the public domain, Phoenix Consultants keep the Our Work page up to date showcasing the fantastic examples of products, concepts, and design work undertaken from over the years. RowElectric is one of Phoenix Consultants’ flagship projects boasting user centric design and design for health and fitness, as well as working within the sustainable products and renewable energy sector.

The RowElectric case study page was recently updated to highlight more details from the product development process, the extensive user testing, and include new insights on the BikeErg exercise bike version.

As an accompanying product to the RowElectric generator for RowErg rowing machines, a version of the product was developed to be suitable for BikeErg exercise bikes. This involved 3d CAD development to adjust the connection points for proper fitment to a BikeErg, optimising the buttons that control the amount of resistance for a user friendly experience, and ensuring the same energy generation technology worked as intended while maintaining the original rowing machine version’s design language.
