Concept Development
Taking the foundational idea for EarClear and exploring a variety of aesthetic and functional solutions. These sketches underwent many iterations based on client feedback until five developed concepts were created to take forward into initial prototyping.
From 2D sketch to 3D model
Initial 3d printed models experiment with aesthetic and show the size and shape in the real world. These are evaluated and developed through multiple stages into testable working prototypes.
Evaluating the design
Virtual prototypes made during the process prove the design before committing to a physical prototype.
Working closely with the manufacturer, the CAD for each ear tip design is optimised for injection moulding mass production.

Innovation
Intellectual property line drawing are produced for EarClear’s IP lawyer. EarClear is fully patented to protect the design’s innovative features.
